The proposed bridge would provide grade-separated pedestrian access from Grant Park’s Buckingham Fountain to the east side of Lake Shore Drive at historic Queen’s Landing. The structure is an ultra-thin 25-foot-wide steel box girder which wraps back upon itself in an 800-foot run. It provides an ADA-compliant solution and an absolutely minimal intervention at this sensitive lakefront site, assuring virtually unobstructed views to the lake and up and down Lake Shore Drive.
