A modern interior was inserted into a historic timber loft office building in the Chicago Loop for structural engineers C. E. Anderson & Associates. The existing masonry walls and timber framing were left exposed. Skylights were added to bring natural light into the deep L-shaped plan. Design included custom wood desks and shelving and a raw steel reception desk.
