For this gut renovation of what was a three-bedroom apartment at Mies van der Rohe’s 860 N. Lake Shore Drive, Windhorst Gorski Architects created an open plan organized into public and private realms. Intended for entertaining, the public space includes an expansive galley kitchen, a combined dining and living room, and an office demarked by partial height walls. The private area includes a master suite and a guest bedroom. Work included detailed kitchen design and coordination of furniture and furnishings.
